East New Market Fire Department

Before midnight on September 30th Station 21 was alerted for a MVC with entrapment on East New Market Elwood Road just outside ENM. Rescue 21-1 responded with a crew of 5 with Chief 21-1 Secrist as officer. Upon arrival Chief 21-1 established command and directed crews from Rescue 21-1 and Engine 21-2 to deploy the Hurst tool spreaders to gain access to the patient. After a short extrication the patient was transported to the hospital via ground by Ambulance 16-1 due to MSP Aviation being grounded by weather.
