After returning from a previous call, Station 21 was alerted to Assist station 6 with a large outside fire. Engine Tanker 21-1 made a quick response with a crew of 5. Chief 6-2 was on scene with an active leaking fuel tank that was on fire and had engulfed 2 near by trucks. The fire and leak started after a truck knocked over the fuel tank. Engine Tanker 21-1 assisted Engine Tanker 6-1 with fire attack. A second alarm was sounded bringing multiple mutual aid companies to the scene. Hazmat 1 was also requested from RFC station 1 to contain the fuel spill. Once the fire was knocked crews worked extensively to stop the spread of fuel. No fuel was detected in the water drainage systems. Hazmat 1 crew along with Station 6 crew pumped off the remaining fuel in the tank while other units were released. Units on scene.
