At 21:02 Hrs Station 21 was alerted for a MVC in the 21-3 Box. Upon arrival Rescue 21-1 discovered that it was a multiple vehicle MVC involving 3 vehicles with entrapment in one vehicle. Chief 21-1 established command and the Hurst Tool with spreaders was deployed to pry the driver's door to allow extrication of the patient. The spreaders quickly opened the door. Additional EMS and mutual aid were requested to assist in securing the scene and transporting of other patients. A landing zone was set up at Station 21 for Trooper 6 to fly out the most serious patient. Command was passed to Chief 21 for the remainder of the incident. Crews remained on scene to assist MSP with lighting and traffic control. Rt. 392 remained closed during the duration of the incident.
