Structure Fire - Wright's Creek Lane

On September 16 2013 Stations 21,16,and station 6 for Tower 6-1 were alerted for a structure fire at 3405 Wright's Creek Lane. Captain 21-2 arrived on scene and found smoke coming from side alpha of the structure and established command. An additional engine crew was requested from Station 1. Engine 21-2 arrived on scene and crews advanced a line to the rear bedroom of the structure where a small fire was located in the closet. The fire was knocked and crews began ventilation and overhaul. It was determined the fire was electrical in nature and Delmarva power responded and secured the utilities to the residence. During overhaul crews encountered a large bee's nest in the wall and crews were forced out of the structure. Units secured and command was terminated. Units on scene: Engine 21-2, Engine Tanker 21-1, Engine 16-1, Chief 1 and Paramedic 100.
